I wanted to make sure my first post makes a point that this will not be a blog of a sweet southern Belle giving you her two cents on knitting, skirts, and the color pink. This blog will be for strong women who still want to keep their femininity while ruling the world. Hence the picture of one of THE strong woman, Secretary Hilary Rodham Clinton, wearing (to keep with the theme) lace.
My hopes for A Lacey Perspective is that I will give you my personal perspective on topics that every strong woman looking to make it in DC (or anywhere for that matter) are interested in. Not only will I touch on DC gossip, politics, and new media, but also fashion trends, restaurants/bars I feel you must know about, entertainment gossip and any thing that make us women… well… women.
You don’t have to wear a pantsuits like my lady to the right to be a powerhouse. Embrace your femininity while ruling the world!
Eleanor Roosevelt understood that every one of us every day has choices to make about the kind of person we are and what we wish to become. You can decide to be someone who brings people together, or you can fall prey to those who wish to divide us. You can be someone who educates yourself, or you can believe that being negative is clever and being cynical is fashionable. You have a choice.
