Lacey’s Wearing: Casual Inspiration

A week or so ago I saw a fantastic outfit on one of my fav blogs, Fabulous on a Budget, and knew I had to recreate it. It is so casually chic and would be prefect for days like yesterday when it was my last day in DC (before off to MN for work) and had errands galore to run. The pic that caught my eye was…

Perfection right?! Well here is my interpretation…

Denim Button-Down {Gap} | Black Cargo Skinnies {F21} |  Nude Alligator Heels {Target} | Sunnies {H&M – old} | Gold Watch & Cream Bag {Michael Kors}| Beaded Bracelets {H&M} |Bracelet {Yurman} | “These Boots Are Made for Walking” Gold Necklace {Alisa Michelle – HauteLook} | Bright Pink Lipstick {CoverGirl – Temptress}

My hair was clearly not in the mood to cooperate. Why didn’t I put it up into a donut bun or tossed it up into a bit of a poof like she did? Oh well. Lessoned learned. None the less, I love this outfit – I feel comfortably chic. I tossed on nude heels because my black pants are longer then hers, so it helps give me a longer leaner look (plus I am a shorty and she is tall and leggy). Also, my Alisa Michelle “These Boots are Made for Walking” necklace from her “Pocket Change” collection (click on necklace pics above for full size and can see both sides of the coin) is literally my favorite necklace ever! Don’t tell the others. It really reminds me of back when I lived in Texas. The length is a bit funny… I may put it on a shorter chain… just thinking out loud here.

Also, I am currently obsessed with her “Let the Good Times Roll” Bracelet (anyone interested in getting me an early bday gift? Hehe) and “Laugh” Beaded Bracelet. I’m on the hunt for some good bracelets to layer with, can you tell?

PS
I think I have found my perfect outfit posting spot! This brick wall is a beautiful color, colors seem to pop next to it and it has a star on it! It was meant for me.
