Finally back in DC and already have every night booked with an event or two before I leave for Tampa (for work and play) on Thursday. Last night was the DC Fashion And Beauty Bloggers‘ (a group I co-founded) MeetUp and I knew I had to look sharp – so I turned to my inspiration photo from my last post and went for the lady bowtie. I of course put my own colorful spin on it by making the lady bowtie lime green and adding a punch of pink with the clutch.

Unfortunately you cannot get the full awesomeness of my lady bowtie because it was windy when I was shooting my pics, but you get the gist. Plus, I slept in soft rollers last night (don’t judge, it is the only thing that works to hold curl with my boring straight hair) and when I took it out it looked awful so I tossed it into this side messy pony – don’t know how I feel about it.

Also, aren’t these cat-eye sunnies amazing!? I found them at Target (or as I like to say Tar-je *add in french accent*) when I realized I forgot sunglasses when I was in Minneapolis. Did you know that Minneapolis is where the Target HQ is?! I had no idea, but man was that Target humongous, I wanted to shop around forever and it was oh-so clean. But I digress… my love for my  NARS Carthage Matte Lipstick continues, clearly.

Happy Hump Day!
