The other weekend, J and I went to Eastern Market on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. This is by far one of my favorite things to do in DC. You can’t beat fresh flowers, local foods, and fantastic people watching. We walked away with lots of meats (the pre-made Chicken Cordon Bleu was to die for), vegetables and snacks to fill our fridge and bellies with. I also, as I always do, walked away with a large bunch of my favorite flower, sunflowers. Aren’t they perfection!? They were the size of my hand!

When I am out and about in Eastern Market I always like to wear something light and bring the largest bag I can grab to help hold some of our purchases.

I apologize if any of the above pictures now have you hungry.

  4. I love sunflowers! They are my favorite too. Those ones are amazing!!

I’ve never been to the Eastern Market…I know I know, I’m a bad DC-er. I will have to make it a point to go soon!
