Get Your Om On

Instead of my regularly scheduled Wednesday Wish List, I wanted to share with you my favorite items to get my om on. Like I said yesterday, one of my new year’s resolutions is to stay consistant with going to my yoga classes 3 days a week (if you are in DC I attend this studio). I was sort of consistant with this in 2011, but in 2012 this will be my sacred me time.

Now that it is getting chillier out there, looking cute while walking over to my class has been tough but I refuse to let excuses get in the way.

Below are some of my must haves to get my om on…

PROLite Yoga Mat {Manduka}

Anything Manduka makes, I will own. I highly recommend their PROLite mats if you live in a city and walk to your classes. These babies are light but still have enough cushion and traction to help you practice at your best. I personally got their Lighten Up Package (It was created for the city yogi in mind and buying their items in bulk saves you lots of moola!), but if you are just looking for a new mat – this beauty is it.

Canvas Classic {TOMS}

To keep your toes warm on the walk, and a great way to keep your inner yogi and philanthropist alive, TOMS are the best shoe. Trust me, you will walk into your studio and see every yogi in them. Perhaps buy blank ones (like above) and DIY them a bit to a add a personal touch.

Groove Pant {Lululemon}

Like every yogi, I have an unhealthy love for Lululemon. Now that the days of wearing shorts to class are far far away, I have been eyeing the ever-popular Groove Pant with a bold pink band.

Pink Lux Earbuds {iFrogz c/o AT&T}

To get me into the yogi zone on my walk to class – these extremely light weight and, dare I say, fashionable earbuds keep me going. You know I had to get them in pink and they match all of my pink yoga gear perfectly. Yes. I care if my earbuds match. Don’t judge.

Anorak w Faux Fur Trim {DKNY}

…and for the really cold DC nights, I use a heavier anorak to keep me warm since my yoga gear is very thin. This furry DKNY piece is one of my favs. Toasty.

What are your favorite yoga/workout must haves for the winter? I would love any suggestions!

Namaste,
Lacey

    Love Studio DC! It’s my favorite yoga studio around.

  2. I think my solution to this awfully cold weather in DC is going to have to be HOT yoga!! ;-) Love those headphones, great selections!

    as your resident yogini friend… I love all these things you posted and own some iteration of each of them! I also love to add a good pashmina – as a scarf while in transit to/from class and a great light layer while we warm up with stretches and breathing. I also just got my first pair of yogitoes that help to keep those tooties warm in a chilly studio space! xoxo biggie smalls – love you
