If I have to read one more blog post about the ‘it’ items for spring, or see another one of my favorite fashion bloggers post a picture of themselves in their new spring dress standing in front of a beach with the sun shinning, I might lose it. Here in the District (and most of the East Coast) we do not have the luxury of warm spring weather… yet. But when we do, I will be wearing the longer full-er skirts, short chunky necklaces, high-waisted wide leg pants, and peep-toe pumps (not all at once, obviously) I have been drooling over.
To compromise with the new trends of the spring and the weather we are having here in DC, I put together something that has a pop of color, a big bow, and of course the longer full-er a-line skirt that I am seeing pop up everywhere. The overall color palette is still winter, but the feminine touches are slowly helping spring make its way in.
