Winter Hair

As my hair has been growing out I have began to notice that in the winter – the season of turtle necks, layers and chunky scarfs – my hair has been so frustrating I want to chop it all off getting in the way. I have become more and more desperate for some chic, easy up-dos that can keep my hair up and away while piling on the layers this winter. After some some virtual digging I have found some fabulous how-tos out there! Below are my top three I will be giving a shot asap!

How to do above: Braid hair like putting it in pigtails, tie the braids in a knot, and pin back whatever you don’t want flipping out.

To head to SpicyCandyDC‘s two year anniversary brunch I knew I needed to pull out all the vintage stops because these ladies know their vintage. These plaid pants were the perfect choice – they are comfortable (perfect to stuff my face without concern), warm (which was definitely needed on this chilly DC day) and the perfect chic piece to brunch with some of my favorite fashion blogger ladies.

Life of the (Arm) Party

I have been wearing arm parties since I was little. There was never a day I didn’t have a watch on, some sort of new bangle I found at Claires (yeah I said it… Claires) and some friendship bracelet I made on the bus ride to dance competitions.

Lately, I have been wearing the same ‘ole arm party. The pictures above are plenty of evidence that I wear the same arm candy almost every single day and typically in the exact same places! You won’t catch me a day without my Michael Kors gold watch, David Yurman bracelet and Forever21 spiked cuff (similar).

Perhaps it is time to add to this arm party… I have been eyeing this, this and this lately.

I am absolutely, madly in love with these bubble gum pink pants. In fact, this entire look just felt so me – it is bright, has a bit of pattern mixing and of course a bit of vintage. Also, can you believe my new vintage Coach I snagged at Eastern Market this weekend?! It looks just like the Willis I was falling for!

I love these pink pants so much I also got them in my other favorite color, red! I think I may need to add colored denim to my ‘I May Have an Addiction List’  – which right now contains printed pants, brights and anything leopard. I’ve been told the first step is admitting you have a problem.
